YOU ASKED, WE ANSWERED: Your Mortgage Questions

Bank of America does not originate nor service subprime loans and has one of the lowest foreclosure rates in the nation. As one of the founding members of the HOPE NOW alliance, Bank of America supports efforts to provide awareness of options for homeowners who may be facing foreclosure.

Question: "I have been living in my home for just over 6 years. I am almost 60 years old, and over the last two years, I have had to have both knees replaced and an eye removed. I try very hard to pay everything but for some reason the money does not stretch far enough. My home is in foreclosure right now and I was wondering what to do. I keep getting these things in the mail telling me they will save my home. I guess I would like to know if there is an agency out there to help or should I just give it up and live in my car.

Ottawa moves to reduce price of drug after cancer patients complain of ...

If the price of the half-century-old drug, which can be made for less than a dime per capsule in a Brazilian government laboratory, are found to have been too high over the past 13 years, governments could receive refunds. Today, one capsule costs about $35.

According to E. Richard Gold, a lawyer who specializes in patents, the decision closes a loophole. Since the drug is not licensed by Health Canada and was available only under its special-access program, it avoided price regulation.

"This is a loophole, that if it had been followed, other companies with relatively small markets would have followed it and it would have created an inequity in the Canadian system where some drugs are controlled and some aren't," said Dr. Gold, director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy at McGill University.

The Investment Column: PartyGaming is well worth takinga flutter on

Buying any share is a calculated gamble, but since the US ban buying shares in an online gambling group has become, well, just a gamble. But PartyGaming is a business that makes real money and is growing fast, even without any presence in the US market, and there is a strong case for taking a flutter on the stock.

Yesterday's third-quarter results and key performance indicators, despite being in line with market forecasts, offer more support to the buy side argument. In comparison to the third quarter of 2006, revenue was up by 24 per cent to $115.7m (£56.4m), despite a 3 per cent fall in poker revenue. That was offset by a strong showing in casino revenue, up by 158 per cent to $36.7m and a 91 per cent increase in sports-betting revenue, albeit from a low base. Considering that the reporting period is typically the slowest of the year, an impressive return.

"Things are shaping up quite nicely," Els said of the course. "Every aspect of it has been designed to strategically fit the natural terrain and the team is doing a superb job of it."

The South Africa native explained that grading of the West Nine has been completed, and that the course may have more water features than any course on Oahu.
